Specific comments made about this task

Bracknell Forest Council
No A-Z for sustainability. Internal search - documents coming up first. Very long and wordy page using complex language.

Brent Council
Used the 'Site Map' as an alternative to the 'A-Z index'

Brent Council
Brent sacks staff posts for Sustainability and climate change LOL Brent Council have lots of PDF (proably all out-dated publications) but no timely/live webpage allocated to Sustainability and climate change.

Cheshire East Council
A-Z found climate change but not sustainability.

Copeland Borough Council
Considerably more information can be found as a result of a Google search than from the internal search.

Coventry City Council
On Google search the relevant information was right at the top making it easier for me to search for it. It was sort of the same with the internal search because they were quite relevant but the page had options of what to click on as PDF files. On the navigation, I weren't really sure where to start looking for it so I gave up. This could be in a separate section or one on it's own. On the A-Z, I found sustainability and climate change. It is better to search for sustainability and climate change separately rather them both together because they are both separate things. This could be because the task could have been worded better or be separate like one for sustainability and one for climate change. Overall, a very good search!

Coventry City Council
Information split between sustainability page and a few environmental pages, hard to know which of these to be on. Easy to find information pages but not necessarily easy to find any specific information. Internal search was thrown by 'sustainability' and returned housing policy and FOI requests, not useful.

Gloucestershire County Council
Easy to find using searches either website based or Google. Difficult to find using navigation and pretty much impossible using the A - Z

Manchester City Council
Annoying that I needed to download an Adobe report rather than just read the information on the website.

Newcastle City Council
When carrying out the internal search and google search "climate change" returned the relevant pages but "sustainability" didn't otherwise it would have been very easy

Norfolk County Council
I got to the page very easily from Google. However, I'm not sure why I would be searching for information about climate change from a local authority. The page is rather dull and uninteresting self-serving text. There is no task or service provided. Not sure about the "recommended link" in the search returns. Irritating survey pop-up. Adverts: I do not want to see adverts on a council page. Using Google adsense means that the ads will probably have nothing to do with Norfolk. I was served a hotel in Sheffield presumably based upon cookies set my search for a hotel several days ago. A to Z provides links from other councils. If you use an A to Z this could be very useful. Navigation: gave up. The page is not highlighted, which just goes to show it's not important. So, delete.

Nottingham City Council
Although the Nottingham City site came up easily the full A - Z was not visible on my screen so I typed travellers into the search button. I did find a document on travellers and housing but it was so slow to open I gave up.Googling Travellers Nottingham City Council did get me a document but it was very basic and had no contact details or links to further information

Oxford City Council
Google search turned up relevant page at number 2. Page a bit text heavy. Internal search autofilled and made suggestions which might be helpful, but might sometimes be irritating. A to Z produced a lot of results which might reduce usage; also turned up Oxford County Council pages which, in the case, are irrelevant. Home page a bit disconcerting. Not clear which list of links is the site navigation. Chose "Environment Services" which led to some carbon reduction information, but not the relevant page on climate change.

Surrey County Council
Tricky, because climate change is under a topic called energy sustainability. Also difficulties in finding a general page on what Surrey is doing about climate change.
