Once I got there, it started looking difficult; there was an extra "continue to leisureflex" page which seemed unnecessary.

I spoke too soon: broken link: http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/membership

I don't know why the application page has the address http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/yourchoice - that could mean anything. Far too much waffly text under the show/hide links. Bit confusing about the difference between leisure centre memberships and actual leisure discount cards.

Easy to find but then you are asked difficult questions (eg select from a list of leisure centres which I didn't know). Then when I'd finished and paid my £15 fee there was no email confirmation (except from the card processor) eg to tell me when the card would be sent. Ten weeks later I still hadn't heard, and it turns out you need to collect from the leisure centre - which kinda makes on line ordering a bit limited!

Camden Council - 2014-02-11
Well, I found it easily - I think - though the word "discount" is conspicuously absent from the main text and is easier found in the related contacts page. Possibly demoting the brand name "Better Health and Fitness Card" in favour of something more descriptive like "Sports centre discount card" (which is used on the contact us page) would help.

to many results came up total was 347

Discount card wasn't available on main website, it was on leisure centre website.

City of Edinburgh Council - 2014-02-12
Seems to be an external organisation with an external website managing leisure facilities for Edinburgh, however the council website should still signpost to this.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council - 2014-09-04
Applications should be under apply.

I searched for Leisure Discount Card and cane across or was directed to (via google) Leisure Pass, Active Loyalty Card which does offer a discount of 50% but there is an annual fee. I was looking for a leisure discount card for people on low income or recieving benefits. I don't know if the Leisure Card and Leisure Discount Card are the same thing.

Manchester City Council - 2014-02-13
Could only find it from the Google search.

Nottingham City Council - 2014-12-08
just about impossable Intranet search, google and web a-z all used and all led to a dead end

Oxford City Council - 2013-12-05
Having a choice of 12 different kinds of discount cards all with their own opaque branding names makes this harder than it could be. Internal search has a screen full of results about children's birthday parties.

Pendle Council - 2020-08-18
Pendle Leisure Trust website home page looks like a Geocities 1996 website. I found information about the existence of some kind of membership scheme, but I gave up trying to find a link to actually apply for it.
