Menu could be better

Using the language of buying a market stall could be offputting to people who don't realise you can be a casual trader. I also couldn't find any information about how you move from being a casual trader to being a permanent one.

Bracknell Forest Council - 2014-02-27
Internal search didn't provide the most relevant results

Brent Council - 2014-05-27
No problems with this one

Carlisle City Council - 2014-02-11
Street Trading brings up the pages needed but, Market Stalls is another story.

Cheshire East Council - 2014-10-28
Everything was very easy to use and the local information for where and when they were held was good however, but I didnt find any information on how to become a market stall trader or the process involved.

City of York Council - 2014-02-21
Website took longer than I expected to move between one page and the next. Also, before I looked through the all of the many links on the homepage, I went to the business section to look for market stall info - after all, if I am a market trader, I am a business! Finally, I'm not keen on the way you deal with Downloads - I'd much rather they be displayed on the page I'm looking at, rather than having to click through to another page to see them. In fact, I missed them first time around.

Top result in Google. Straight to the right page, good amount of information. Bit disapponted to find non-form field enabled pdf form. Internal search had farmers' markets as top result. A to Z led to yet another market page. Link to Town Centres was a mailto but not obvious from text. Way to much space on home page for news. Had to hunt around for something relevant. Retailing landing page thankfully had links to actions - registering.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council - 2014-09-04
Once again I would not have thought to look under sport and leisure for market stall trading, once I put title in search and google i could see the home page that it sits under.

Harrow Council - 2013-12-17
Only remotely related thing in navigation was market stalls for people on the dole.

Kingston Council - 2013-12-16
"setting up market stall" yielded no useful results in internal search. The page needed appeared 3rd behind two irrelevant PDFs when searching "market stall" in internal search.

Leicestershire County Council - 2014-07-22
The information about markets appears to be on a standalone website with no link from the main council website that I could find.

Lichfield District Council - 2013-12-05
Signposts to the Lichfield City Council website.

I *think* the information about Street Trading is the information about market stalls, but that wasn't clear from the search path. Navigation was under Business Opportunities, which wasn't entirely obvious to me, and then when I got to the information most of it was in .pdf documents. I'd also expect an online form application rather than an email address.

Sefton Council - 2014-02-10
No A-Z. I don't think they run a market.
