Specific comments made about this task

Birmingham City Council - 2016-07-18
Having all the information as FAQs was a bit confusing

Blackburn with Darwen Council - 2017-09-27
Terminology could be better "Penalty charge notice" instead of "parking fine" but found it fairly easy nonetheless.

Bradford Council - 2014-03-25
I did not have a parking fine to pay so could not complete the task but finding the page and getting to the point of adding a reference was easy

Carlisle City Council - 2014-04-14
Informative and told the different methods to pay the fine i.e online, in person etc. The make a payment button is a bit small, but was still easy to find.

Cheshire East Council - 2014-07-10
I started from the Cheshire East Council home page. Also I used links from the homepage rather than searching.

Coventry City Council - 2014-02-04
It was very easy because it was under the right section (about parking and streets). Under each heading when you clicked on the parking section, it gave a description so you'd know where on the webpage to go. The A-Z was very simple as it had the parking on it. Overall, this was a very good task as it was easy and everything was in the right place.

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council - 2018-08-28
The relevant pages are far too wordy.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council - 2018-10-02
A-Z was more confusing than helpful as I didn't know what category to look under.

Enfield Council - 2014-02-09
Google search came up with right page no.1, but page refers to PCN - it's a parking ticket! It is the same pathway for paying/appealing which could be confusing. Internal search returns two similar pages. Doesn't go straight to payment page, leads to a whole load of waffle. A to Z does not include "parking fine" or "parking ticket" just "parking in Enfield" which means extra clicks. Home page has "pay it" button, but nothing that is obviously to pay a parking ticket.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council - 2014-09-04
Its not straight forward. And I gave up. Paying a fine should be under pay it. in two clicks.

Lambeth Council - 2014-04-15
There could be more information on the page about how long you have to pay, what to do if you want to appeal it.

Lincolnshire County Council - 2014-02-04
it's not really in the site navigation, it's on the site of a page about dropped kerbs. being under resident in a drop down menu doesn't really make it apparent where i should start to look for parking stuff. having said all this if i had a parking ticket i would assume it would have an address on it ? like http://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/parking/ ?

Manchester City Council - 2013-12-04
Search result went to appeal page, not payment page.

North Lincolnshire Council - 2016-01-07
Main menu is not obvious on the home screen.

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council - 2014-06-18
A to Z not on the homepage but easy to find via the search

South Cambridgeshire District Council - 2014-06-18
gov.uk result in google took me to Cambridgeshire CC website where I could pay

Tandridge District Council - 2014-03-20
This is a problematic task to grade as another council deals with parking fines for Tandridge. This does mean a lot of clicks through different websites and the use of the usual awful third party payment app. I'm sure the process could be improved. It would help greatly if the content was written in English; if the websites used the term "parking fine" and if hyperlinks were more apparent. This is a top task - use a cal to action button. Rather bizarrely, it was easier to find the right page through the internal search than Google. More sliders, more stock photos. and, a pop-up survey. Parking nowhere to be found in the main site navigation. Even if you've fobbed this off to another council it must be a top task?

Wandsworth Council - 2014-08-07
Fix entry in the A - Z this is confusing as it talks about parking zones

Wychavon District Council - 2017-07-20
I assume people paying parking fines in Wychavon will know the difference between a ZW PCN and a WH PCN... I don't like this combined payment form where the user has to select from a dropdown rather than selecting what they're paying beforehand, but that's a personal observation rather than an objective one. It's good that the PCN info page uses the term 'parking fine', but you have to read on down the page for information about paying it.
