Specific comments made about this task

Birmingham City Council
Found 'unauthorised encampments' easy enough under Environmental Health; finding positive information via navigation about/for Travellers was much harder.

Birmingham City Council
I found a single page which was an introduction, promising more detail - but that detail wasn't there

Bracknell Forest Council
Page, when found, is called 'Unauthorised encampments' - how meaningful is this to the customer? Search finds PDFs over the page.

Bracknell Forest Council
Content only refers to unauthorised encampments and how to report

Brent Council
PDF included very out of date information

Carlisle City Council
Plenty of information available as a PDF although it is quite long but was still useful.

Coventry City Council
The most helpful ways to search for this query was by navigation through the home page, Internal and Google search. These were rated as easy. However, the A-Z search was difficult but I got there in the end. I searched through the 'T' section for travellers but wasn't sure wich part to go on. On the other three helpful searches, I managed to find relevant information for travellers. To improve the A-Z section, they could put another heading like 'Traveller information' so it would be easier to find it.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council
Didn't think that travellers would be under G for gypsy once I searched under A-Z it came up under housing which I did not look under internally but looked under community or Environment as this is where I thought it might be. It may be that we have some catergories under the wrong headings on home page.

Liverpool City Council
"Gypsy and Traveller Service" does not show up within the internal search results. Also "Gypsy and Traveller Service" and "Gypsy and Traveller Sites" do not have any related links to one-another.

London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham
PDFs delivered in search results

Nottinghamshire County Council
Pretty easy to find and fairly good content.

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
Searches pulled up minutes of meetings talking about Travellers' sites, but no information.

Scottish Borders Council
The only thing I could find remotely related was a comment on the education out of school page saying they aim to promote inclusive approaches to learning for travelling children, and some FOI requests.

Wychavon District Council
An internal search did at least bring up some information about planning permission for Travellers' sites. In .pdf files. And the Google search at least pulled up an 18 month old council news story about a consultation.
